Admittedly, there are quite a few wellness hotels in Germany – but not quite as many 5-star hotels. Furthermore, wellness is incredibly diverse, and therefore more and more wellness hotels are specializing in specific target groups. Today, I would like to introduce three top (5-star) wellness hotels in Germany and also take this opportunity to demonstrate how different each of them is. So, anyone who wants to experience wellness at the highest level is spoiled for choice.
Wellness feeling in the Sauerland - Romantic and Wellness Hotel Deimann
One of my favorite wellness hotels, or one could almost call it a wellness resort, is the Romantik and Wellness Hotel Deimann in Sauerland.
Nearly 4.000 square meters of wellness space await hotel guests and wellness enthusiasts: indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna complex, a saltworks, a large fitness area, beauty and wellness treatments (including cosmetic treatments), a private spa, a hammam, a large wellness garden (from which several hiking trails in the region also start), and even a healing tunnel. In short, this hotel boasts everything a wellness enthusiast could desire.
Those who enjoy hitting a golf ball will find their happiness at the 27-hole Schmallenberg golf course, just a few meters away. Those who like it can also take a few private lessons with pro Marvin Buschmann to learn or improve their perfect putt.
At this romantic and wellness hotel, I enjoyed one of the most extensive and varied breakfast buffets ever. Overall, the hotel's cuisine is fantastic, and in the new, open show kitchen, you can even get hands-on with the cooking. For example, I tried my hand at creating an Ayurvedic menu there.

Health concept from the Harz Mountains - Romantischer Winkel - Spa & Wellness Resort
A privately run wellness resort with its own health concept is located in the Harz Mountains. The health program, which has already received multiple awards (including the coveted Wellness Aphrodite award twice), is called RoLigio® and is based on various building blocks and pillars for a health-promoting stay, right up to a relaxed lifestyle even after the wellness trip.
The spa and wellness resort has a wellness area with over 3.500 square meters. Almost a wellness paradise awaits the guests here. The hotel is located a little way up on a small hill in Bad Sachsa. From the hill, you have a lovely view of the Harz town's fire pond and the adjacent spa gardens. Several beautiful hiking trails start right from the hotel, for example, to Walkenried Monastery or the Upper Harz Water Regale.
