From the outside, the hotel appears modern and functional. Upon entering the lobby, we are immediately struck by the wood. This wood is used in the hotel's interior design. The receptionist greets us warmly. She first offers us a welcome cocktail and escorts us to the bar, which features wooden tables. Chairs in red and green are arranged around the tables. This color scheme and combination of materials is repeated throughout the hotel. A stroke of genius, in our opinion, because it's precisely what makes this hotel in Schladming a first-class wellness hotel.

The Falkensteiner Hotel is located directly in Schladming, overlooking the town's ski mountain. It also offers opportunities for a summer holiday. The Dachstein is just a few kilometers away, making it a popular destination in both summer and winter. Those who enjoy shopping should make a note of the Wollwelt Steiner in the neighboring town. But the hotel itself also offers Spa area more than enough opportunities to spend a holiday with lots of relaxation.

The pool in the basement of the Falkensteiner Hotel Schladming is elegant and is connected to the outdoor pool via a canal. Waterfalls massage the neck there. In the sauna you can really slow down. Those who prefer to be active will find a fitness room in the spa area. But the best thing we find is the wellness area of the hotel spa. Bathing, exfoliating and massaging for almost two hours. That's what the "togetherness" promises, a spa program for two people with which we let ourselves be pampered. After this wellness program we are relaxed. This is top-class deceleration that works wonders after a week in the office.

The friendliness of the staff plays a key role in making us feel at home in this hotel. Everyone greets us warmly and helps us whenever we have questions. Everyone provides information about what we can do here. Dinner turns out to be a dinner with three appetizers: salad from the buffet, caprese (tomato with mozzarella drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette), and a foamy white cabbage soup.

There are three dishes to choose from for the main course at the Falkensteiner Hotel Schladming. Veal with pasta, truffles and sauce, salmon fillet with vegetables, or vegetarian options. There is dessert Kaiserschmarrn with plums. Those who want can help themselves to the cheese buffet afterward. But we'll give up. The five-course meal was nice and easy. The first three courses consisted mainly of healthy vegetables (the white cabbage-foam-soup was great!), The veal with pasta and truffles was heavenly, and I just barely managed the Kaiserschmarrn :). The wellness treatment was even better - pure relaxation!

What was actually better now: the five-course menu or the spa cure? ;) You do not have to decide, right? My shoulders urgently need such a deceleration! And Kaiserschmarn for dessert I find more than suitable, that's good! Oh god, now my stomach growls. Where is the next Falkensteiner from Berlin?
