We have often spent a Croatian holiday by car by the sea. I fondly remember the trips I made with my parents to the island of Rab. Our car trips to Croatia gave us wonderful experiences. Especially the drive along the Jadranska Magistrala, the Croatian coastal road, from Montenegro to Rijeka was a highlight. This route is considered one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world and offers breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea.
We will never forget our trip to the Kvarner Bay. There we stopped in Opatija, a holiday resort with many buildings in the Belle Époque style. Our walks along the promenade were particularly beautiful.
In Mošćenička Draga we experienced a fishing village with colorful houses at the harbor. The spacious beach invited us to relax, and conversations with the local fishermen gave us an insight into how the local people live.
Our last stop on this trip was Rijeka, the largest city in the Kvarner Bay. The lively port city surprised us with its rich history and diverse activities.
