We often traveled to Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Monika as a tour guide and travel blogger. Petar on many trips to the east and west coasts. We have collected numerous Vancouver Island tips that we are passing on here. Each season offered its own special experiences.
In summer, Victoria is simply a highlight because we admired street artists and ate our way through the many food stalls. The forests are fascinating in autumn, which is why a road trip through Strathcona Provincial Park never ceased to amaze us. We especially love the hikes to the mountain lakes and waterfalls. During the winter, coastal towns like Tofino and Ucluelet become quieter, perfect for storm watching and spotting whales off the coast. We particularly had a lot of fun at the whale festival. A walk along Long Beach is simply unforgettable. In spring, nature comes back to life, and the blooms in the gardens of Victoria and the hikes in Courtenay and Comox show the island at its most vibrant.
We also visited the remote places. In Port Hardy and Telegraph Cove we experienced the tranquility of nature. Boat tours took us to whales and sometimes bears on the shores.
